The dope thing about platforms like this is, even if you didn't post for a year, your audience will still be wired up for the next one. Good luck have fun between now and the next one

Anything can happen in life. Anything. There's nothing more painful in life than living. It's even worse if you see something that's going to happen and you can't avoid it. There's nothing more painful than for a man to see his bad fate on the road and to suffer even in waiting. Not living, just waiting and each moment is just prolonging of the suffering. Anything is better, even hastening the misfortune, at least that way you'd wait less for your suffering. Life is a miserable construct made by the dying and the damned and everyone except children who is happy is living in a fool's paradise that they're not cynical enough about and should avoid.

Hey, do you think it's genuinely possible for someone with *negative* credentials, not an absence of credentials, like a bad degree or something like that to get into AI research? I try to ask people but I'm not sure, I've never asked anyone who's actually working in AI. I've asked AIs but it feels sketchy because I'm not sure of the sycophancy. Thank you for reading.

The answer to genuinely possible is an obvious yes. I don’t know you well enough to the point where I would advise you one way or another to pursue this direction or not. If you want to I would advise SPAR and ARENA as an entry to the field, unless you want to do capabilities research which I would advise you not to. Also I’m not employed in AI. I do think if this is something you want you should obviously try. Ask yourself why you are asking the question in the first place right, like the probability mass of you failing is not literally 1, so probably this is some fear of failure/wasted time. But you should like wonder if you want that to hold you back, and if the answer is no then you shouldnt let it.
